I wish it wasn't 1500 miles away.

I am going to miss this unfortunately. But, Dad's 60th Birthday is more important. He really enjoyed going to the GCA Convention last year for his Birthday. I believe Mom would lynch me if I tried to steal him away for his 60th though. Hahaha. Hope you all have a great time.

I'm going and bringing my wife along. We'll be staying at a hotel and visiting our grandsons also. This will be my first GCA Members Meeting and my first visit to the TMP store. I thought it had closed, but I see on various threads that it is open after all, even though the selection never sounds like it's very good. However, since the South Store will be closed that weekend, I'm hoping it means the TMP store will be well-stocked! Is there a listing anywhere of the non-shooting activities available to GCA members?

I checked in with GCA and there are about 110 members registered. Two matches on Saturday, member's meeting (brief, don't worry), BBQ and a match on Sunday, mini-Palma. The CMP has closed the South Store so they can service those attending the meeting. I assume this means a good selection of rifles at the Talladega range. In any event, I'm going and looking forward to shooting and seeing old friends.

I plan to get there Friday. I am bringing my smoker repair kit and am happy to fix any ailing smokers that come forward.
I will be shooting the JCG and VS matches.
I will be hanging out at the bar at the Hilton Garden or Comfort Suites!
Regards, Ray

Wish I could go but was just down there the end of June for the AMC and can't make another trip this soon. Sounds like a good time.
