Default 2nd try at posting images here of my 1st CMP rifle.

Fall of 2016 H.R. 5 million serial, 52/53 production.
ME-0 TE-1
SA 55 barrel.
Pristine SG.
This one proved that the Garand bug is very real.

I find it very interesting that your 0-66 HRA serial number is that close to the serial number of the 0-66 HRA field grade that I picked up at south store last Thursday. The hackberry wood will not be left on it.

Sn was very close. Mine is 47059XX but I think you got the better deal. Yours has the original barrel vs my SA 51 tube. I love garands so much I wish I had an endless supply of money to buy and knowledge of them. Lots of history that each one has. Wish they could talk.

I'm curious if your 0-66 has the Y on the back of the hang tag. Mine does.

Mine does not. None of the HRA Garands I received have a y on the tag

Default HRA Svc Gr received

First time stickie attempt and scored! HRA with GI wood and received a nice 5.6 hra with SA 8-54 barrel, D35382 6 SA op rod, SA Bolt, SA sights on a narrow base GC. It came with some surface rust which cleaned up with copper wool, plus alot of grit overall. She cleaned up pretty nicely in the SA EMcF stock it came with.
