Left side has -

WB (inside of a box under slide stop)
P (below and to right of mag release)

Left side of slide has -

Remington Rand Inc.
Syracuse, N.Y. U.S.A

Barrel has -

45 Auto

Thanks for any insight you can offer.
Your frame was originally shipped to Springfield on 2/26/42. It was rebuilt at Springfield probably at the end of or right after WWII and that's most likely where it got the Rem Rand slide. It was rebuilt at least one more time at Anniston in December 1977 and that would possibly be when the GI contract replacement barrel was installed.

Colt frame S/N 710592

Possible arsenal rebuild mark on right side of frame above front of the trigger guard A1180

Any information would be helpful.

Thank you.

Frame shipped on 3/18/37 to Springfield but would have been the top half of what was considered a 1937 Navy Colt as they were requisitioned by and destined for the Navy. Guess it was rebuilt in 1980 based on the stamp but probably got its Ithaca slide at rebuild during or right after WWII.

What can you find on my Colt Model 1911 (Service Grade) —

Serial Number: "No 337068"

Colt receiver and slide.

No rebuild markings that I can see, but on the right side, forward of the Slide Stop "button" is the number "41"

The pistol has been upgraded to A1 configuration with the A1 beaver tail and mainspring housing.

Looks like matching finish on both the receiver and slide.

I know the receiver was manufactured in 1918. Any additional info is appreciated.

Frame could have shipped either to Bush Terminal on 6/21/18 or 6/25/18 (most likely), or it could have gone to the US Navy Yard in Brooklyn on 6/15/18.

When and if you have time:
Colt. Serial no. 593841, received last week.
It is also marked. A A on the left part of the frame.

Almost certainly went to the Army Reserve Depot in South Schenectady NY on either 2/7/19 or 3/3/19. Slight chance it went to a camp somewhere else but 99%+ went to NY at that time.

Rebuilt at Augusta probably for WWII.
