I anticipate a call from the CMP any day now, as my RNG is within those that are getting calls at this moment. In the meantime, I offer pics of my Grandfather's Colt 1911.

Picked up my CMP 1911A1 from my dealer yesterday. 1944 Ithaca frame, type 3 RR slide, ANAD 8 80 rebuild stamp. Except for one buggered grip screw it looks pretty good. I'm pleased with what I received.

Pictures of my CMP 1911A1 before and after applying TLC. Received Colt Frame (1943), HS barrel, 3rd model Remington Rand Slide. Replaced grips and screws, replaced hammer, reworked rear sight and safety edges.

Picked up my cmp early 1945 Ithaca fame and slide 1911a1 today (2/6) has a new High Standard barrel. OB-84 Marine rebuild etch. MB stamped on both the frame and slide. To say I'm very pleased would be an understatement:

Default M1911/M1911A1 Picture Thread

While waiting for my call I decided to pick this up from a local estate sale. An original 1918 1911.

I paid $385 for this 1919 Colt earlier this week. It appears to be a WW2 RIA rebuild. The slide and frame match, as do the long trigger and flat MSH. The barrel is WW2 Colt.

I didn't take advantage of the gentleman. He knew what he had but deals are still out there if you look hard enough.

Everything together. The current barrel is WW2 era but the original barrel came with it.
