Default North Store report 6/4

I was lucky enough to snag a 0830 appointment and was the first in the store this am. Awesome! I was looking for an 03 and a Krag to replace rifles I sold ages ago. Mission accomplished! Additionally I got a Service Grade SA Garand, 3M with original barrel and lock bar sights.
Lots of nice Krag, 1917s, 03s and 03A3s. Service grade SA and IHCs as well as Field grades. 6M SG SAs. One 4.66 FG was in rack also. WRA field grades. Lots of CMP Specials of various flavors. Two correct WWII SAs that looked unissued for $3020 each. Correct post was SAs for $1800. Only a couple sniper rifles on the back wall. So those expecting lots of Cs and DS wasting rack space that did not happen. There were 2 KRAg carbines there when I left. Bayonets at the counter. Worth the trip! Make an appointment!

Thanks for the report! Hoping there are still 03s and 1917s when I have time to get there next Friday.

I had an 8:30 appointment this morning. While waiting for my order to process I was chatting with Bob. He said that they received a very nice size shipment of rifles and he’ll be able to restock the racks for a few weeks. So if you have an appointment in the morning in the next week or two you’ll have some nice rifles to choose from.

I highly recommend bringing a small flashlight that you can shine into the chamber and look down the bore to look for pitting. Most the bolt guns are tagged as “dark bore”. There’s great variation in bore condition, from just dirty to badly pitted.

Hi Gunner945!

I enjoyed talking to you.

I was also with the first group of 4 customers today, June 4th, at 8:30 am.

I picked up a very nice M1903 Mark 1. Original 11-18 barrel, correct stock, and what looks like original finish(?) Maybe someone can confirm if this "gray" color is correct.

Also got a WRA Field Grade, and a SA field grade.

Thank you to Amy and Bob (armorer) and other staff (that I don't know there names) for a orderly, well run opening of the North Store.

-Dan

Hey guys! I just got home from the North Store. I had a 10:30 appointment and was able to grab up a field grade WRA M1. It was not nearly as busy as I had anticipated, and the store still had plenty of everything when I left. One of the gentlemen restocked a rack of M1s as I was leaving.

My appointment is for Thursday. Hoping there is one less nice 1903 when I walk out the door, but I'll try to leave one for you!
