Default replacing the foam in the case

So the piece of foam that comes in the 1911 box may protect it during shipment, but it is such light material that when the pistol bounces around during shipment it tears the foam.

Anybody have suggestions for replacing it?

I have some excellent quality hi density closed cell PE (polyethylene) foam I use in my gun cases. Easy to cut and very durable. I have 2Ē thick and 1Ē thick.
I would be happy to send you some you can try out. Itís clean, new etc.
Free if you can reimburse shipping ( I donít imagine it would be very much)
PM or email me

Hereís a link to the foam, stuff I use is the PE

I replaced the foam in my CMP 1911 pistol case with the Hi Density closed cell polyethylene foam and bought it through Amazon. My Case Builder will sell you a pre cut piece to fit your case and the M1911 and 1 magazine for approx. $40.66. I bought a 12" X12" piece and cut it with a disposable Stanley razor blade knife that has the snap off blades . It turned out very nice and is much sturdier than the foam that the case came with the case. My pistol arrived in great shape but the foam was torn in three places from shipping. google Club-Closed-Military-Grade Foam
