Default Garand/Carbine Match in Macon Georgia

OK, our next M1 Garand/Carbine Charity Match at the Marion Road Gun Glub will be this Sunday, the 13th of November.

Link to Match, this in NOT a CMP sanctioned match, just a good fun time by all. We just became a member with CMP, so future matches will be sanctioned.

Veterans Day Weekend
M1 Garand and M1 Carbine Fun Shoot

MARION ROAD GUN CLUB, 6170 Marion Road, Macon
PRICE: FREE BUT CASH DONATIONS APPRECIATED!!!
Sign-in begins at 12:30 PM.
First relay of 10 shooters starts at 1:00 PM with extra relays as needed.
RIFLES ALLOWED
Any M1 Garand Rifle or M1 Carbine with iron sights.
*Garands & Carbines will be scored separately.
DISTANCE: 100 Yards (NRA SR-1 targets will be provided)
AMMO REQUIREMENTS
M1 GARAND: 32 rounds for score + desired number of optional sighters.
M1 CARBINE: 40 rounds for score + desired number of optional sighters.
Shooters bring own ammo, NO tracers or armor-piercing allowed.
MANDATORY EQUIPMENT
Shooters AND spectators MUST bring eye and ear protection. Chamber flags are required and can be purchased at the range for $2.00 each.
COURSE OF FIRE
M1 GARANDS will fire eight (8) rounds during each of four stages
M1 CARBINES will fire
ten (10) rounds during each of four stages
OPTIONAL SIGHTER STAGE: 5 minutes to shoot desired number of sighters from any position.
Stage 1 - BENCH SLOW FIRE: 8 or 10 rounds fired in 5 minutes from the bench position.
Stage 2 - STANDING RAPID FIRE: 8 or 10 rounds fired in 1 minute from the standing position.
Stage 3 - SITTING RAPID FIRE: 8 or 10 rounds fired in 1 minute from the sitting position.
Stage 4 - PRONE SLOW FIRE: 8 or 10 rounds fired in 5 minutes from the prone position.
Special Note: Disabled shooters welcome.
