Default Greetings from Florida

Hello everyone. Better late than never I suppose. I just ordered a Field Grade and Service Grade Garand from CMP. Now the wait begins I guess.
Well, in the mean time I will surf the forum and gain some invaluable information.

Welcome, as a former newbie here is some advice.

The Garands come with only 1 Enbloc each. You may want to by a box on the estore, I think they ar $20 for 25, better than you will find on Ebay.

Order some ammo, I like the inexpensive Greek HXP also available on the estore.

I bought some bandoleers on Ebay but you cam post a Want to Buy (WTB) under the "Parts for sale or trade" and Other category. It looks cool and is great at the range to manage your ammo!

Welcome and enjoy.

PS

Look for a good outdoor range of 200M or at least 100M. Shooting an indoor range is not as much fun. JMHO

Where in Florida you from?
I lived in Citrus County - Lecanto/********sassa/Inverness area for around 20 years.
Had to come back to Tennessee so I could make a decent living (little cooler and less humid in East Tenn also).
Florida is great for retirement and outdoor activities, but it was a challenge for a workin man to make a decent living, especially in the rural areas around where I was.

Welcome to the Forum. Most folks on here will help when they can and there is much knowledge if you care to ask.
In the couple years I have been on here have made some pretty good friends.

Rob

I'm up in Palm Bay. We have a range that goes out to 600 meters.

That looked nice even before you refinished the stock.

Hi there Jetspeed, greetings from North Florida. I'm sort of new here also. Hope you enjoy your rifle's when they arrive!
