I got to the ss at 3:20am it was 40 and cold even though I'm from Wisconsin. To my surprise I was 27th in line for 35 carbines. We had drove all night but I was extremely happy with the process. The cmp brought out coffee and donuts around 6:30 and the fellowship was great. There were a lot of families there with sons and daughters. They counted off the first 35 and they told the rest they would get their names and perhaps do something for them. I would say at least 100+ eager collectors were there. We entered and the quality was excellent as a dozen had flip sights, 6-8 Bavarians, and many were service grade including almost all makers. I got a beauty a quality hardware without flip sights. I also picked up two field grade ww2 garands with original barrels including a mid 42. One gentlemen got a 29xxx early m1. I would say there were 25 field/rack grades and a handful of H&Rs. I also picked up a bravarian sling, two 1943 marked m1 bayonets and several slings. I couldn't be happier with the fellowship, professionalism, and selection. Thank you cmp!!! Kraig
