I agree. I posted the text of the letter just to be clear, but more to let others know that the "Dear John" phase seems now to be underway.

Would have been nice to score a CMP carbine, but this is no biggie. Again, just letting others who have also been waiting and wondering that their uncertainty may soon be addressed.

The sooner I get told I'm not receiving a CMP built Frankenstein carbine, the sooner I can buy some spam cans to feed the legitimate rifles.

I'll survive, I would have liked one but I have one already and can probably go through life with only it (except it jams all the time so kind of kills the fun factor). I bought two over rifles through this whole ordeal, one of them being an excellent example of a M1903A3 (which I actually wanted more than a Carbine) so I don't feel like it's much of a loss to lose out on this sale.

We'll see what happens I guess, but I've already moved on...emotionally, haha. 2/1 was my birthday so it would have been sweet to luck out.

Hang in there folks. I agree we are getting close but I still do not see any credible evidence of the end. I think it will trickle along for a while.

I will hold on until they say ( That's all guys - Gone )
I do wish they would email and ask if you would like your order to stay on back order in case in the future a few more would come in or do you want your order closed as we are NOW OUT.

The carbine sale, I would say, is pretty much Finished.

I didn't get one either.

Bring on the 1911's!

I'd say the odds are as good that they still have oodles of in-house carbines as they have not one left. Would be nice to get a forum update, but those days ended when Orest retired

Yeah I'm not trying to sound like I'm doggin Mark....but a little more presence on here from CMP officials/employees would be nice. I see it as post here or get inundated with calls/emails asking the same questions.
