Default Vintage 1911 pistol match

Wouldn't it be great if the CMP came out with a Vintage 1911 match (similar to the vintage sniper match)? Of course, half the competitors would start gaming it right away with custom accurized pistols.

I'm not close enough to join in. I wish I were closer to CMP matches.

Indeed. If I'm fortunate enough to score one, I do plan to shoot mine in competitions occasionally just to say I did it.

Hardball is so difficult and requires so much practice that the pistol may not be as much of an factor as it is thought to be. A master shooter should win with a really bad pistol.

Rules are simple, pretty much like JCG matches, original parts, no match parts, trigger pull measured within a standard. No adjustable sights. It is more about the shooter than the iron.
