I was there two weeks ago - RATS - if these were there then - the remaining number would be reduced.

Thanks for the report - scored a pretty nice Remington 1903A3 checked by JB in December. Would have missed out without the information!

Default Left there about 2:30 pm today with a nice 1903A3.....

Several busloads of NROTC kids there shooting and looking at the guns.....nice to see somany young ladies getting into shooting!

Of all the rifles (mostly Garands) there was One 1903 and seven 03A3's, of which I bought a nice 03A3.

Nice RIA cartouche, FJA marks and several other marks. Really nice shape. Mine was not the best bore but close and had an RA 03-43 barrel on it, Remington bolt, nicely blued and looked all original.
Added a few other things like the two for one match ammo (not as cheap as HXP but still a deal), a nice sling, a couple cleaning kits and a Garand serial numbers book by Scott Duff. Damages ran close to one large, but at my age, who counts??

God Bless my wife, who waited patiently in the van and transferred some funds to our VISA card for me!

That's the secret to Garand collecting! You have to have an understanding wife no doubt.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the variety of rifles on the racks while peeking in the window before opening on the 15th. I ended up with a RIA 1903, service grade SA 2.9mil, and a service grade IHC 4.6mil. I spent more than planned, but loved every minute of it.

Default South Store Visit 2/14/19

There were about 10 people in line this morning. They had several Remington 1903a3s and 1903s. I was able to get a 411k RIA 1903 with a 2-19 SA barrel RA-P rebuild. .5 in the muzzle and throat and good bore. One other guy picked out a pretty SA 1903 in the 1 million range with the serial number electropenciled in the bolt and stippled buttplate which is apparently USMC. There were two SG WRAs both with Winchester barrels both sold. Good trip and really appreciate the heads up that the 03s were there.

I must have got the Thursday special. Only paid $670.00 for my 03A3 (plus the 10% tax).
