I agree with the others, 99% of the time FTF come from a bad mag. Take a few of the to the range and see which ones your pistol likes. For brand new manufacture, I find that the Ed Brown and Wilson Combat mags are virtually flawless in all 1911ís. YMMV

I really like Wilson Combat mags. Is it a faux pas to use them in a GI issue handgun? They work great in my Springfield Armory 1911.

Hate to hoot up the WC mags. They work. They are expensive.
