Default WTS- Priced for Quick Sale M1 Carbine Bavaria "Salzburg"

"SOLD" If you have Bavarian's or looking to add a Bavarian to your collection this is the one you need. This is a Standard Products M1 carbine with the stamping on the bottom of the trigger housing (LGK SB), meaning these are from Salzburg.
Until M1 Carbines were imported back into the United States and a few of these showed up, it was not known they had been assigned to these areas.
While thousands were used and returned to the United States from the lower areas (LGK NO) it is believed only hundreds are from Salzburg. The highest Salzburg inventory number observed so far is LGKSb 0712. All of the carbines used by Salzburg that are outside Austria, appear to be in the USA only. They were imported from Austria by INTRAC in 1993
Many of these did not follow the norm for markings as does this example with markings only on the receiver and bottom of the trigger housing.
Do the homework, these people at "bavarianm1carbines.com/austriacarbines.html" do a great job of research and providing information on these highly sought after Bavarian M1 Carbines.
