Default Larson's new book

Page 12 thanks George Liakos from Riverbank armory for supplying parts. So yes there are pics of reproduction parts in the book. I see his flip sights, barrel bands, push safties and some stock cartouches, all fake junk.

That's a shame. I was kinda expecting to hear this, though I was hoping otherwise.

Pg. 52-54 fake bands and swivels.
Pg. 60 fake flip sights.
Pg. 106 fake push safties.

Pics are not that good, real and fake parts mixed in.

Default A Blessing in Disguise

Hi All, Even though not unexpected it is sad to hear that some items shown are repo/fake, but this still could be turned into a positive help for many. By compiling a list on the forum of the bogus items pictured and pages, it would let one know what to be looking out for as to fakes that are out there now. Just a thought. John

Default I guess the question to ask is:

If the photos inside the book are of fake parts, what's valid about the rest of the tome? It is like writing an art book containing photos of fake works by Caravaggio, Degas and Monet. Kind of defeats the purpose.

Just received the book. Patterned very similar to Jesse Harrison's book except there are photographs instead of drawings. There are some photographs of original parts but many, many photographs of fake parts. The type and finish on the parts is not accurate either.

*****DO NOT USE THIS AS A REFERENCE******

unless it is to learn what the fake parts look like.

Default Blessiong Revisited

To my original point. This could serve very well as a guide as to what the fake parts out there currently look like!!! John

What would be really great is for those of you who know these are fakes and have originals to supply some photos for us so we can learn too.

Shhhh! It's a secret. Nobody will tell you anything, It's a secret only the carbine elite know, and they will not share it in order to educate anyone. They use the "Humpers might get the info" excuse. Or, join the carbine club and pay 250 bucks for all the past newsletters so you can get up to speed.
