1011z, what did you think of the correct grade selection? Did it meet your expectations? Did you look at the other rifles? Did your rifle have cosmoline? Glad you found a good rifle.

As stated before, I was very impressed with the Correct Grade selection at the CMP North Store. The Correct Grade racks were completely filled. I couldn't be more satisfied with my new M1 Garand. It would be interesting to do a side by side comparison with the Correct Grade rifle I purchased and a Collector Grade rifle. All of the Correct Grade rifles that I looked at were covered in cosmoline. On Saturday, I spent 5 hours disassembling, cleaning, oiling, greasing, and assembling my Garand. I hope to take it to the range today!

There were quite a few M1D and M1C Sniper Garands to choose from. Also, there was an abundant amount of Special Grade rifles available. The selection of Service Grade rifles was disappointing. As others have said, the store may stock up on Service Grade rifles for the National Matches that start next week.

I would like to make a trip back in the fall when the 1903 and 1903a3’s become available.
