Very nice pick ups! Wasn't the recent price for a service grade M1D alone around $1500? So for $1000 more you got USGI M84, mount and cheek pad......that's a great deal today!
Just be careful with those cheek pads if you tighten the laces. The corrosion/condition of the grommets where attached can pull through the softened leather.
Enjoy owning those beauties!

I gotta agree! Wasn't there something like a $200 premium recently for a Winchester M1D and yet it appears that all these M1D's all were sold at the same price?
This looks like another case of rifles that in the past would have been going to auction. Does it seem like CMP is cleaning house?

That very same thought has crossed my mind. Seems (to me) like the store has stocked a bunch of auction-worthy stuff recently.

Perhaps in anticipation of the Filipino Garands? Just a guess on my part.

Just noticed that the mail order service grade M1D's are listed as sold out as of 12/27/17.

Here is my WRA M1D. Since it came in a CMP stock I decided to make it my shooter with reproduction accessories. Can not wait for the weather to get a little better so I can take it to the range.

Brandon,
That is cool. When I had my repro T37 on my Tanker M1D 7.62 rifle I could hear the ring from the flash hider after every shot (kinda like a tuning fork).
Does yours make the same noise?

Rob

Rob,
I havenít shot it yet. Iím curios now if Iíll hear that ringing. Iíll try and make it out to the range in the next couple weeks, weather pending. Itís been cold around here, so staying at home working on these type of projects has seemed more appealing.
