"...marked DEN...the manufacturer was?..." Denver Ordnance Plant, Denver, CO. 1942, '43 and '44 manufacture.
All W.W. II vintage M2 ball ammo is corrosively primed. Not really a big deal. Just flush the barrel and gas system with very hot water.

Another source for the GI corrosive bore cleaner is seller Bensparts on evil-bay(I know).A carton of 12 is $23.92 shipped or a case of 72 for $74.92 shipped.I bought a case of it and it came in a wooden box with Anniston Depot shipping tag.Excellent like new condition cans.He had the white colored stuff and the stinky black kind.

+1 for Bensparts (stinky black stuff), I always use it and have never had a problem and I shoot corrosive ammo most of the time.

Yep, been using it since the 50s. I still have a case that I am hoarding that was given to me. A little goes a long way and only used a couple of cans before I got these. One can leaked slightly at the cap. Beware, this stuff will eat paint, as well as corrosive priming salts. Never noticed if it had the ability to remove copper jacket wash, but I believe it does
