Broom, since there is at least 2 other threads already running on the subject, I doubt there is a need for a third.
I think the original posting was more of a "poll" to get a feel on how people felt and was not open for debate or to go off track....as most threads do.

Hi Shomway,

I guess I was not clear, how I wrote the message.
I DON"T want another thread started.

I'm hoping many others will contact the Mod GhostInTheMachine at the ORIGINAL OP As mentioned by Orlando.

To let him / THEM know as "WE" see it 99 1/2% of the posters are happy with the board & would like to see it stay in place.

Sorry for the confusion!

I certainly vote to keep it. It has been an invaluable tool in helping me grow my collection and sell items that are surplus to my needs. I've had about 100 transactions here just in the last 3 years or so, buying and selling, without a negative experience worth whining about. I've experienced the vast majority of folks here to be helpful friendly and honest. Please keep this section of the forum.

Please keep it open - I have been very pleased with the sales and purchases I've made over the last couple of years.

First of all the CMP is NOT responsible in anyway for any buy or sell deal's!
They should be COMMENDED for banning slugs & out right THIEVES QUICKLY!
The deal is ONLY between the buyer & seller, any issues should be settled that way. They have other sources to turn to like the USPS postal police, A T F., Credit card company's & Local police!
No need to involve the CMP AT ALL!

Sure, deals go wrong & if that were the case. I would think the seller would give them back their money, less postage! Many major sellers have a Three day return policy from delivery date- or it's yours!

This is the FIRST place I come to look for good parts at a fair price & GOOD INFORMATION ! I hope this issue is resolved soon.

Be well,
broom
Broomhandle nailed it. I know some folks who, if they won $1 million in the lottery, would complain about the taxes.

This is a great place to buy and sell parts and guns. Buyers should always be careful and ask for any info they need to get comfortable.

Look for sellers with lots of posts.

As always, caveat emptor and in NO WAY are the mods or CMP responsible for ANY deal that goes bad.

Hi BSAGuy,

Thanks for the favorable reply. I too was involved in Scouts for about 18 years!

Thank you for your service to the young men of this country,
broom

Default Parts For Sale or Trade forum.

Posted in both places for good measure:

I visit the for sale section of the forum through out the day every day. I come to this section of the forum searching for parts to improve the rifles I have bought from the CMP. Without the forum I would not have the 1903 micrometer sight adjustment tool that I hope will allow me to medal at the Talladega D-Day match this weekend. I also would not have developed the friendships with fellow collectors that I met while purchasing parts on the forum. Please do not take this section of the CMP forum down.

Sincerely,

David Joyner

I vote to keep this section open. I have been purchasing parts for years and have never received a part that wasn't accurately identified and photographed.
