I saw two on the rack when I left and they locked the door soon after I walked out.

Keeps prices high, but it's a damn shame. Always enjoy sharing the wealth with those who have never shot a Garand. Plus, the ping brings a second smile.

I made a long roundtrip drive from New Orleans Thursday and arrived at the store about 8:15 and thought I would miss out. I managed to purchase a WRA FG with a lock bar sight. It was manufactured in 12/43 and had a SA 5/44 barrel and looked a little rough, but I'm satisfied.

I also picked up a Rock Island Arsenal 1903 (1919) and I think it has an original barrel (9/18). I'm going to identify the other parts as well. The trip was well worth it.
Good luck Friday on your choices.

Only three guys at opening. Two from Tennessee and myself. I was lucky enough to pick up an A4, a USMC rebuild and a 3/43 FGw/original barrel. There were several nice field grades With GAW stocks, JLG stocks and NFR stocks.

I was thinking about stopping by the south store and then going to the talladega range afterwards tomorrow. I see on their calendar that there are some competitions scheduled for tomorrow. Is the range is open to normal shooting on days when there are competitions?
