At opening there were 7 customers, including myself and the Armorers were Bobby and Hunter.
The racks were full with"
IHC Service Grades - 17
IHC Field Grades - 5
Springfield Field Grades - 7
HRA Field Grade - 1
1903 - 7 (all I saw were Springfields with most being Mark 1s)
Winchester Service Grades - 1
Winchester Field Grades - 10 (one was a Win13)
Specials Service Grade and Field Grade - 11
308 Specials - 1
M1C - 1 (nice)
M1D WRA Rack Grade - 1
SA 6 mil - 4

Three of the 1903s vanished from the rack almost immediately and 4 were still there when we left.
One lucky customer found what looked to be a fully correct IHC Service Grade and it was really a very nice rifle indeed. Lucky guy for sure.
Also saw what I think was the best GAW stock I have ever seen in the wild. Virtually a nicely struck stamp and minty condition and abiding on a Winchester Field Grade?? A lack of funds prevented me buying it just to get the stock. Someone will really score with that wood. Oh yea, it had a service grade quality upside down late '42 SA barrel on it as well.
Found another IHC Service Grade that lacked only the Wood, a Bolt and Follower Rod being correct and it was wearing a really nice post war Springfield stock to boot.

I ended up purchasing the IHC Service Grade (1+/2+) that had the NAVMC Inspection Tag dated June 1956 with the serial number that matched the rifle it was on. I will be checking with Jim Adell to see if this rifle is noted in his Navy Serial Number List, though that would just be the icing on the cake. The IHC is a really nice-looking specimen but not many IHC parts other then the barrel and receiver.

Since tags are a subject of discussion here are some photos of the one on my rifle.

Thanks for the report Rob..... now I know what it feels like reading the report and not being in the store!!! I enjoyed the report, but would rather see the rifles first handle.... LOL

3 of us opening one after the opening
9 1903’s in the rack
A bunch of Winchester’s put out this morning most rack grades
The Winchester I passed up and brought to the attention to another guy had a wra GHD stock Winchester bolt and receiver , Springfield op rod and Springfield trigger group. Barrel was a replacement I don’t remember if it was lmr or Springfield.
Now it’s time for a lil wine tasting at jack Daniels on the way back to Nashville !

The guy that bought it was looking for all original he said and I just pointed out this was the diamond in the rough with what was there with the cartouch it will clean up nice. A few of the other rifles have a DAS stamp on them, the one he got
was the only wra stamp. There was one rifle with a sa rebuild stamp on the left hand butt stock and another with a rra stamp.

Yea last time I was at the store I picked up a wonderful wra service grade with Winchester barrel. I need the wra stock as part of the long journey of making it correct. Seems like they sell in the 450-650 range so I am going to try be patient and find a bargain in the 300 range. Probably slim chance.

I interpreted this morning's (8/10) report to mean that the WRA Rack Grades were regular M1s, not M1Ds...perhaps I misunderstood.
