Default South Store Report 08/22/2019

There were 14 customers at opening, many others shortly after opening, total about 20+ and the racks were full.

Armors are Bobby, Taska and Steve.

Due to high sales at opening there was a restock at 9:00 of 1903, 5 and WRA FG 3/SA FG 3.

Several very nice cartouches today, several SA GAW, a E.Mc.F and WRA GHD, all very nice.

1903, 14, very nice rifles, there was a rifle with L.S.A.A. rebuild stamp which I hadnít seen before, beautiful rifle, sold. They were hit hard this morning.

IHC SG, 7, three sold, no restock on them.

SA FG, 22, numerous with HRA barrels....

WRA SG, 5/FG 13. One Win13 no WRA barrel and one rifle with WRA barrel with CMP stock, several with good number of WRA parts.

SA 6 million, 1

CMP SA Field Specials, 4/ CMP Special WRA, 1.

M1D WRA RG, 1

M1C SA SG, 1.

Daisy Air Rifle, 2

Good supply of both canvas, reproduction leather slings and original leather slings.

Bayonets available by asking store staff.

Good luck on your searches.

Default L SSA is pretty cool

That L SAA stamp would be from San Antonio I believe. I have only seen a couple of those but more frequently see S SAA and C SAA (all in rectangular boxes).
I have always believed the first letter is the initial of the inspector.

The proof for these is typically a P in a Square box. It is generally located on the heel of the grip on an M1 Garand. Did you notice where the proof was on the 03?

hope that helps,
Rob

The P in the box was just as you stated, but the L SSA wasnít in a box.. really a nice rifle that when home with a first time buyer. It still had the original 1918 SA barrel. Also saw an original 1909 SA barreled rifle, another beauty...

Is it just my imagination, or has there been a surge in WRA cartouches showing up on rifles the past several weeks?

You never know, they may let a W.B. in the box or a short letter S.P.G. slip through one of these days.

Default Thursday closing report

The store had a busy day today, they had to start wrapping sales up at 2:30 so they could close on time at 3:00. CMP employees quit time is 3:30. Opening should be about the same inventory as this morning.

IHC SG, 8.

1903, 14.

SA FG, 11, one had a nice IHC numbered stock..

WRA FG, 14.

HRA FG, 3.

Other rifles remain about the same.

Good luck on your searches.
