Default South Store Haul 8/21-24

Finally, the stars aligned, the kid's have grown and my wife and I were able to make our first trip. Really our first trip to the deep South, we loved the people, hospitality, food and the sights. I like to THANK all of you who contributed to my request for local suggestions, you did not disappoint! A BIG shout out to PH68 and Rob03-06, you guys are truly store assets, you help me and many, many customers with your knowledge and generosity, you are both true gentleman. THANK YOU! The armors Stephen, Mike and Taska and the young man(name?) were a huge help to all that asked, the same goes to the ladies that process your paperwork and offer great dinning suggestions. We plan on returning next year.

Rob30-06, if you want more photo's of that 4.69 HRA w/ LMR barrel let me know.

These rifles were purchased as put away winter projects, as time allows after long autumn hours of work and the deer seasons:

Wow, Harry. That is a haul for sure. You must have a peach for a wife. Very nice guns. Did you leave any for the rest of us??

Thanks for all of the pics and enjoy your new rifles.

Truly fantastic. Can I ask what sort of work you will be doing on them? Refinish stocks, replace stocks, look for some "correct" parts????

Just curious.

I usually strip them down, clean the metal in a parts washer and re-oil. Most of this wood is replacement USGI, you can't easily replace aging pan tenia, so they will just be rubbed down with a coat or two of pure linseed oil, maybe the dents and scuffs touched up with a little stain. Most of these are, what they are FG's, if I have in inventory the correct parts with the right finish wear, sure they may be installed. The Springfield 1903 Mark I, will just be cleaned up and left how it is.
