Eddystone was an affiliate of Remington, not of Winchester.

Leaving the store now at 1310, someone had the 1917 in hand I think they were going to buy it but I'm not sure they did a small restock at about 11:45 I believe five or six Springfield service grades came out two with original World War Two barrels one of those had a GI stock which I purchased, nice green patina finish on receiver and the barrel and lockbar sights
Thr other had replacement wood. I didn't see them bring any more 1903 s or anything unusual come out I believe they brought some Winchester specials out. I ended up with a very nice Winchester service grade that Tom picked out with a very nice GAW stock, one of the nicest cartouches I've seen. A nice Winchester field grade with what looks like original Barrel, and correct op rod and bolt, a nice service grade IHC with very strong stamp GAW stock.

Just guessing but I would think PH68 meant to say WRA 1917

OK it sounds like you really had a good day. Some of the WWII GAW stocks that have been coming out have been really outstanding and some amongst the best I have ever seen.
Sounds like you got some good ones

Rob

This is the stock on the Harvester service grade I picked up I don't have a picture of the other stock that was on the rifle Tom hand picked out for me but I believe it was even better than this one.

Default Thursday closing report

The M1917 is SOLD!!! I was trying to report what it appeared to be to me after reading the receiver markings, now Iím not sure what I saw after seeing all the post about it. When and if another one shows up I will ensure I copy exactly what is on the receiver.

Brianm767 summed up the restock today quite well.

Current inventory.

CMP Specials WRA 3/ RG 7.

WRA SG 3/ FG 7.

SA SG 8 most with CMP stocks/ FG 9

HRA FG 1.

IHC SG 10/ FG 2.

1903, 7.

Other rifles remain about the same.

Good luck on your searches.

Thanks PH 68. You do a great job on reporting what is available at the South Store. The reason I was wondering is, I have a WRA Model of 1917 and an ERA (Eddystone Remington Arms) Pattern 1914.

Thanks for the comment Dave and no problem. I got a quick education on these rifles today...

Dang. I gotta retire and move close to the South Store. Anyone need a cooling tower water tech for hire? I'll relocate sooner...
