Default SPF: Egyptian Hakim Semi-auto Rifle in 8mm SPF

Here's a neat vintage rifle that you don't see everyday, an Egyptian Hakim:

The Hakim was is the successor to the Swedish AG-42 Ljungman rfle. The Swedes sold the tooling and design to Egypt in the 1950s, and enough of the rifles were made to see service in the Suez War fought by Egypt against the Israelis (and others) in 1956.

The Hakim has a direct impingment gas system with a regulator, which allows it to be adjusted to shoot most any 8mm surplus ammo. I've shot it with cheap Romanian stuff with good success. The rifle has a ten round magazine, but modified 25 round magazines are available or easy to make, if desired. The muzzle brake makes this a loud but soft shooter, and cheap ammo + low recoil = lots of mag dumps.

Complete Hakim rifles with good stocks are hard to find these days, especially at my nice price - I'm asking ~ SPF ~ plus shipping, and I'll throw in some ammo for an in-person deal (I live in NW Ohio, about 90 mintues from the North Store). Please send me a PM or e-mail with questions or to reserve the Hakim.

Thanks,

Tony

I'm lovi'n its daddy, my AG42B Ljungman is a fun gun to shoot, few know what it is. Yours is a nice one. DO NOT get you finger caught in that bolt cover.

If you thought M1 Thumb was bad, Hakim Hand is intensely more evil and will remove cylindrical chunks of flesh.

BTW, this one is about as nice of a Hakim as I have seen in a long long time. Nice grab as a very attractive price.

One final note.....ALWAYS wear safety glasses with the Hakim. The direct gas system is effective, but also very good and pushing debris and particles over the spine of the bolt.
