Which 7.62 cartridge was the BDC's calibrated for?

Most likely M118.

That is correct.

The Unertl manual states it as:

Elevation BDC for .308 Winchester
175 grain M-118 Match, 100-1000 yards

FMFM 1-3B states it as:

Ballistic comeups M118 Lake City; match ammunition
7.62mm caliber); built-in
