Default cmp boxed with certificate values

what is going range of cmp purchased m1 carbines with certificates with a group showing from same individual? I think one from each manufacturer except IP and Un-quality--I think is about 10 of them--I am helping widow sell.--is their a premium if all bought by same guy as a collection?

Default as purchased

in the box and with papers as shipped by cmp--this is the nice cardboard soft foam liner box-I think were Greek returns maybe 1-2 Italians-not the plastic case-couple were pretty nice as Tommy Phillips helped pick out. Dave and I had volunteered twice at Anniston and hand picked out carbines each time. This was about 10 yrs ago or so.

I doubt that a “collection” obtained from the CMP would be worth any more than the sum of the individual rifles. They were all mix masters, and would need to be inspected individually for part content and rarity!! IMHO

So they aren't like the Bavarians that had flip sights and type I bands?

Just my two cents , if you follow the for sell part of this forum and check the selling price of the average US GI Carbine non Import on GB , $10,000 to $20,000 would be a simple answer . One buyer , he would want a discount for buying them all , Sold one by one with good pictures , $$$ . Like I stated , My two cents . Bob

no offense - but unless your friend is famous or well known in the collecting world (and even then...) I don't think anyone would pay extra for them.

As a 'collection' - usually it is harder to sell 10 carbines at once and you get less money - however, many folks can not stand the sale process and thus insist on selling as a grouping. Someone wanting an instant collection might get excited, and shipping 10 at once would be less than 7-10 separate sales and shipping....

I would expect $800 minimum each and possibly $1200 for some models - unless a particular model is almost all same manufacturer / original

Maybe putting them in an RIA would be the way to go.

I don't see how 10 mixmasters could possibly be worth 2000 each to equal 20k? An Inland around here can sell for 750 to 850.

You often see CMP carbines sell right here on the forum for North of 1K very often. There were some genuine gems that sold several years ago. I personally wouldnt try to sell all at once. As stated unless he was famous or well known in collectors circles the big money just wouldnt be there.
