Default Any guesses on how high the 3-digit will go?

If there is a pool, I'm in with a guess of 3K. Would love to have it, but am betting it will be way too rich for me.
Steve

Hard to guess, is a little over a grand now. These very seldom come up for sale. I have 394 that I got from the old CMP auction in 2005, didn't give 3 grand but now who knows.

Wow.

That exceeded my expectations.

That's a nice receiver with a cool serial number, but there's no way I could pay that much for it.

Default 3 digit

It was an auction. It only takes two, in this case three, people who want something badly for some reason. I see it all the time at farm auctions, mostly when I'm one of the two!

The real issue is you spend $4k plus on this and another $4k and years searching for the correct parts to make her whole and original again. My budget is not up to anything like that anymore.

True on the big price and long search. But we don't know why anyone buys anything. Maybe the person has set a goal to restore a gas trap over the next ten years, or maybe he already has most of the parts and has been looking for the right receiver, or there may be a reason that no one else has even considered.
