Default October 17, report. Like the good ol' days.

I unexpectedly had the day off today and decided to make the trip to Perry. I was surprised to see almost all the racks loaded with rifles. M1917's (I only saw Eddystones), M1903A3's, M1903's, M1903 Mark 1's, M1's included Winchesters, some IHC's, Rack grade specials, fields in IHC and Springfields. All in all a great day. It reminded me of 2012-ish with loads of surprises. Frankly, the M1917's were the best I have personally ever seen. I haven't seen 1903's in years and never this many Mark I's. There were some early WWII Remingtons and POSSIBLY one Marine Corps low number with the stippling on the buttplate. I just didn't know enough to pull the trigger on that rifle. I settled on what I think is a correct Remington 1903A3 without any rebuild marks and a very nice Eddystone Model of 1917. The Eddystone has an RIA rebuild mark, but it seems very early. I have to do some research on that rifle. I know just enough to make myself dangerous. Both rifles have zero muzzles and one throats. I did bring home a rack grade special too. It has a new Criterion barrel, with a zero at the muzzle and a zero at the throat. I have to clean the house, so this is a bit brief. I am going to get into trouble if this place stays a mess....LOL.

Excellent.
Great to see some nice inventory and a report from someone that will enjoy his bounty.
I live too far away to make the trip more than once a year during the games.

There were some 1917's, 1903's, 1903a3...all service. Some service grade specials in the Garands with new stocks. A bunch of IHC's with new wood. There were about two that had USGI stocks. Some Winchesters too, service, field and specials. Some fields of Springfields. Probably some HRA's mixed in too, but I didn't check.

There were quite a few. Probably about 15 or so. All I saw were Remingtons.

Hope they have limits, otherwise the Ohio locals will buy them out in a couple of days.

It never takes long for someone to come on one of these threads complaining about limits. For the past five years the North Store has had limits. You can buy one of each grade in the Garands and one each of the 1903 or 1903a3, (not both.) and an m1917. That should give you enough time to make the drive from PA. Frankly, they will still probably sell out in a few days. It has been years since they had 1903’s or M1917’s

I’m mostly talking about the FG’s or SG. They had limits on the very few 03A3’s during nationals this year, but no limits on Garands. I watched a couple of guys walk out with multiple SG garands during my brief visits.
