Just shot a friends repro M40 last week after installing a refurbished scope, by Toki.
Me thinks I would use my bucks on that route.

But then again, I don't "invest" in wine or gold. Glad someone wants to donate the $$$ to the cause and then enjoy a nice rifle. To each his own. I'm happy to have two WWII era M1s with original barrels.

Cheers.

Agreed. I like the battle worn look as well.

Ive noted over the years CMP auctions don't reflect real world value FOR THE AVERAGE buyer..... I would NEVER pay 30K for a Gas trap...but folks gladly pay the price. I hope it goes to 10K. PS noted its at 15600.00USD hope to see 20k

Looking at the items that have sold and will be coming up for auction, does anyone have the opinion that these were Remington receivers in the hands of the Air Force (possibly having undergone various stages of custom experimentation at the hands of Lackland's 37th Training Support Squadron Combat Arms Training and Maintenance instructors)?

Smile Remington 700 M40 clone, Leupold Mk 4 Scope REM 6257235

Look ahead, search in CMP auction for future listing # 4296. I wonder how expensive it will get?
