Default US Model of 1917 Question

I have a1917 and when the rear ladder sight is in the up position it is not straight up and down from the barrel axis. It appears to be leaning forward towards the end of the barrel about 20 degrees. Is this normal or do I have a problem?
Thanks,
Jim

Jim,
That is normal, Mine does the same thing. Doesn't affect the performance at all.

BTW...I see you're in Chesapeake. I grew up in VB. Haven't been back in many years.

Thanks for the info. The Beach has changed in the 32 years I have lived here.
