Default Satcoms stock

I did purchase a Sarco C stock. It was, and is for my 03a3 sniper clone. Minor fitting was required in the trigger guard area, barrel channel, rear action screw area, and it was for the 1903 so had to modify for the hand guard ring. Any ding on this stock adds character. It had only 1 grasping groove, that was filled in at the factory(probably a sweat shop). The stock is solid, managed to medal every year I shot it at Perry( best was in the 20ís last year). So yea itís was the perfect stock for this build up. The total I believe was just at 6.

The Minelli's are usually cut for both the 1903 rear sight base and the 03A3 handguard ring like a lot of the late C stocks. You could give Stockys a call to verify that.

You probably already know this but the 03A1 is pretty much nothing more than a 1903 in a C stock.

Actually, the U.S. Army classified any '03 in a "C" or "Scant" stock as a M1903A1. AFAIK, there are no M1903 receivers marked as M1903A1 - just a M1903 in another stock.

I also purchased one about 4 years ago for a 1903 Springfield low number. As scout64 said it required minor fitting in the same places. It's a good solid stock and has served me well. The only down side was waiting for Sarco to ship it. They're not exactly speed merchants. Eddie

I gave up on Sarco years ago. Way too many lost orders. They did not like straightening out lost orders, either. Mind you, they were lost in the Sarco warehouse. Lots of wood out there, just look around.
