Default Counterbored Muzzle?

Check out this pic from a rifle just posted to GB. What is with the muzzle? Is that barrel counterbored? What is up with that straight profile? The muzzle seems extremely short.

And they're advertising this as original IHC. I'm a rookie at this hobby, but this just doesn't look right.

I wouldn’t say counterbored, but looks re crowned?

Strange looking crown. The GI tool and the PTG tools do not produce a crown like this.

That looks like an attempt at a target crown. It will probably work fine. I have an old 1903 Greek re-import that is counterbored at least an inch deep. It shoots fine.
