It’s a pretty heavy stock. It has a squared P on the grip.

I thought the scratching was someone bored with a knife. Is this what you are after?

Yes if it's walnut that could work.

The one I have has the boxed P on the flat part of the pistol grip. It sounds like you want it on the front.

You're probably right. The RRAD information I have states it should be a sans‐serif P in a square in front of the pistol grip

Man honestly I do not think this one is Walnut. I have been on the fence about stripping it in the dishwasher to see but weight wise its almost twice as heavy as my other walnut stocks. I think its just colored with stain but not sure.
