For sale: Vietnam Era USMC M1
Manufactured by RJ Stampings (Canadian sub-contractor for U.S.) with a heat lot # of 6762. Helmet is a rear seam, swivel bail variant that wears crimp-on T1 chinstraps with black Anchor marked hardware. Mitchell pattern camouflage cover is a long flap version made from cotton duck material and was produced under contract no. 8133 (early 1965 contract) . Helmet band is fashioned from an inner tube and is holding a Speaker manufactured P38 can opener and a spare grenade ring. Helmet liner is a high pressure P64 parachutist's variant produced by Marmac (1967 contract dated). This particular liner features OD7 green cotton webbing, and black painted steel A washers with brass rivets. Sweatband is dated 1964.
