Default 2016 TMP schedule

When may there be an schedule for matches and events for 2016?
Now is the time to start planning.

There is a calendar of events on the website.

Are you looking for a specific event?

Ghost, all i see are Appleseed events.
I am looking for CMP games type events, rifle&pistol EIC,another D-Day event.
Perhaps a warmup event in Feb,March(for us northern shooters to go to Talladega) prior to Oklahoma,Butner games.
Make it worth the trip, say a week of shooting.Follow 2016 Camp Perry schedule starting with SAFS right through Saturday M1,03&vintage.
I am not calling this a southern nationals, maybe winter nationals for those of us who would rather shoot than shovel snow.
Just a suggestion.

The Talladega 600 will be our "Southern Nationals". In 2016 the dates will be December 6-11.

We will also hold our D-Day Match in June, which was the inaugural event this year. It will again be the first weekend in June, the 3rd-5th of 2016.

When more events are scheduled we'll be updating our website.

Thank you sir for that info.
I wish the Talladega 600 all the success it can get at this great facility.

I think it is prudent that i point out.
1.Most working people must submit their vacation preference in January for the following year.
2.December date is situated between 2 major holidays(a major expense of family time and money).
3.Hunting season, although not a concern for some shooting folks. It is a fact that most deer and big game seasons are Thanksgiving week through first 2 weeks of December.
4.Late February or March there is not much going on.Northern shooters may like to get out of the snow for awhile and prepare for CMP games.
April OKC,May Butner.
5.It maybe worthy of a shooter preference poll.
6.As was learned from the Minnesota games, preregistration may be the tell all of interest.
The CMP folks do a great job at games and Camp Perry and i am behind them 100%.
I will attend as many as i can,but the Talladega 600 just does not fit in.
I will sadly miss this one.
Thank You

I couldn't agree more. I've shot in two matches there so far. Enjoyed both.

I have the flexibility to submit with reasonable notice but see reason 2 below...

With Thanksgiving roughly 2 weeks before and Christmas 2 weeks after and quite a lot of people taking time off around both... asking for more time off between the two of them is gonna be tough.

We'll see how this one goes but I'll have to miss it.

Plus, it looks like the average temps are a bit chilly... lows in mid 30's with highs in the upper 50's.

Thanks Jim for your opinion.
It does not hurt anyone to opine.
The CMP may need some input from us shooters on this matter.
Just keep it civil and constructive.
Thank You

No problem for me.

50's is good weather to shoot in as far as I'm concerned.

I can see how some may find the timing a bit of a challenge. Also, as the High Power Range faces south, the sun will be at it's almost lowest on the horizon. Pray for clouds.
