Charlotte Rifle & Pistol Club - CMP Garand/Springfield/Vintage Match - 7/3/16

The Charlotte Rifle & Pistol Club will be holding a CMP approved Garand/Springfield/Vintage rifle match on Sunday, July 3rd. Registration begins at 8:30AM in the clubhouse and we will commence fire at 9:00AM.

WE WILL BE HOLDING TWO CMP MATCHES THAT DAY. Match #2 will commence after the completion of match #1.

This will be an "as issued" rifle match following the CMP A-course of fire (30 rounds + 5 sighting shots). The match is shot at 200 yards at fixed target frames with separate sighting targets (ie - walk & paste match). This will be a no-alibi match.

The course of fire will be:
SIGHTERS: 200 yards, any position, 5 sighting shots
STAGE 1: 200 yards, slow fire prone, 10 rounds for record, 15 minutes (including sighting shots)
STAGE 2: 200 yards, rapid fire prone, 10 rounds for record, 80sec time limit
STAGE 3: 200 yards, slow fire standing, 10 rounds for record, 10min time limit

Rifles permitted will include:
CMP As-Issued M1 Garand (rule 4.2.2), As-Issued M1903 Springfield (rule 4.2.3), Other As-Issued U. S. Military Rifles (rule 4.2.4) and As-Issued Foreign Military Rifle (rule 4.2.5). Competitors must furnish their own ammunition.

Match fees are $20 for adults and $10 for juniors; with fees covering both matches. Safe shooters of all skill levels are welcome to come and participate.
