Default S'G' on GB Topic Pulled ?

Why was the S'G' Topic pulled ?

There are a lot of younger guys trying to get in to our hobby.
How else do we warn them if not by raising the Red flag.

I'm tired of having to tell new owners who 'Proudly Share Pictures' of their newly acquired carbine that it's full of Fake parts and Stamps.

Why P!ss away your reputation for money, while you step on the graves of those who built and fought with these Historical Artifacts ?

I'm all for taking profit away from these types.

JMO,
Charlie-Painter777

No I deleted it. I was getting too worked up. I don't need to be banned. I like the site too much. Continue if you would like. I will refrain.

Paul,
You are fine. We completely understand the intent and purpose of your post and the link..in this case we can see it is not a shameless plug. Rather, it does provide a valuable tool and info to the community (as you so noted in your first post, thank you).
We get how you feel...with that and the value it provides, I will restore your thread.

Thanks and regards,
Rob

xm,
I would have clicked the Thank You button if there was one.

Cheers to you,

I'm young (well, 42) and new to the M1 carbine hobby, but I'm all in. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I'm restoring an S'G' receiver. I'm refraining from the purchase of any stock, since I hear they're all fake (hyberbole) but I'll take any tips you have on what to avoid.

Don't want to get anyone worked up, but I'm a mix of excitement and trepidation about the adventure.

Get a copy of Riesch, 7thEd. It has good pics of what's correct.
