I also shot in the practice match yesterday. It was my first time at the range and I thought it was great! All of the staff at the range was very friendly and helpful. Definitely a world class facility. My only problem with the electronic targets was that my on-call miss in standing wasn't scored as an X :P

I showed up and shot the practice match on Saturday as well. Didn't realize I would be in way over my head and shooting with the A-team. This was my first 800 Agg, and first time ever shooting an AR in a "match." After brushing the nervous sweat off, and getting some much-needed coaching, I had a great time. Weather was perfect!

The target system performed much better than the previous matches that I had participated in. No hesitations as the shot data rolled in. The CMP folks seemed committed to fine-tuning the system, and were interested in any and all feedback. I felt much better about it after hearing them talk about it. They had performed a few upgrades, with more scheduled today. This is such a fine complex to shoot at, with such nice, welcoming folks. I want nothing but success for CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park.

Can't wait for the big match in December!

I shot the match too. I'll pretty much echo what the others said. Would liked to have had a better turnout but it was kind of short notice. I "think" they are trying to run another similar match next sunday. I can't make that match but hope others will. Good way to get some free trigger time and help working the gremlins out of the system. FP 31 ran smoothly for both of us.
