May I ask who is sponsoring this hunt? Is it the actual Wounded Warrior Project, or some other organization?

It is sponsored by the Anniston Army Depot with support from local businesses, it is a local event and not part of the National Wounded Warrior Project. For those that may not know Wounded Warrior Project ONLY applies to those that served from September 11, 2001 or after, SO WWII, Korea and Vietnam Veterans are excluded from the WWP!!! The Anniston Army Depot Hunt is OPEN to all conflict wounded veterans!!!

I wouldn’t plan a trip until better numbers of them show up, recently there have been five SA/HRA’s put out for opening and they are the first rifles to go, this morning there was one. The hang tag on the SA was dated 1/7/2019, so I think they are servicing them as quick as possible but barely staying ahead of demand.... Just my guess....
