You know, you'd think that they would have made the actual last receiver the actual last official rifle.

I have SN 6092849 with a SA 6-56 barrel. It is a SG mail order received on 09/15/2007. Anyone that has worked in manufacturing knows that part dates can vary greatly in a product.

Dangerously close serial numbers!! Looks like they are both NM rifles...is that correct?
I also have a NM #6,096,6XX
Received from CMP as a SG SA 1960's rebuild #6,094,3XX
Received from CMP CG #6,081,9XX early in this decade before the era of the Greek returns.

They are actually consecutive I bought one (last digits 94) at Camp Perry several years ago Natl Match Type 2 a fellow Jouster board member contacted me he had it's twin sister (93) also Type 2 Natl Match we pinky sweared to give each other first "shot" if ever we were going to part with our respective rifle luckily he found something he could not live without first and we worked a deal (thanks again John)... They are my favorites - albeit safe queens...

Were those some of the NM rifles that were $2500.00 items in the racks at the North Store a few years ago? My son and I perused the NM rifles at Camp Perry a number of times but never found any 6 million serial numbers. Nice find....I think I would relegate them to the safe as well and find another one to shoot.

I have 6083690, a DCM rifle from many yrs. ago. It is as issued, not a NM. I think the barrel was 6-56, but i am pulling that from memory.
