T308 is short for "Tifoso 308" or a fan/fanatic of the Ferrari 308. Been using it as a moniker on various groups/boards since the early 90s. This 1978 308 was my first Ferrari and I still have it all these years later. CMP member "edtowguy" has hauled it and others about over the years. The 308 is well known as having little/no luggage space, but the long narrow boot fits long guns perfectly. Socal shooters might recognize this shot at the Burro Canyon rifle range. Several Garands lurk within.

The parking area at Burro is a little rough for that lady, isn't it? If I see it parked there, I'll come over and introduce myself (finally, another M1 shooter -- I don't see many there). I'm going this Friday the 28th. Now if you're in front of me on the way out of the range on the way back to Azusa, you will move over, won't you?

Yeah, the parking lot's a little rough, but I take care of her. She ain't no garage queen!

Agree about Burro, not many Garands there. I'll move out of your way, no problem. I do "enjoy" the exit road from the range, nice and "twisty"....

Mine comes from the Navy slang for the engineering crew, snipes. That came from the description of the old enginerooms as "hot and steamy as a snipe marsh." I also trained as a Nuclear Machinist's Mate later serving on the USS James Madison, SSBN-627(Blue Crew) for four years 1974-1978. Combined together to get Nucsnipe.

Duh! When I first tried to get into the forum, I put in a name I often use "LOVE_II" but for some reason it would not accept it, so I decided that CMP only wanted real name. It took it.

Mine is from the very old and forgotten cartoon 'Clutch Cargo'. His side kicks where 'spinner and paddlefoot'. Paddlefoot was a Dachshund which I walked about every day when a child. One of the old next door neighbors gave me that nickname. He was a WW2 vet who saw action on either Iwo Jima or Okinawa. Its been so long ago when he talked about it I cannot remember which one.
Take care

I was a police officer in Biloxi, Ms and my badge number was 50. Dispatch used to call units by their badge numbers and when they called me it was "Biloxi (to) Five Oh". I am of Japanese descent and look "Hawaiian" so the guys would refer to me as Biloxi 50. I just put the first letter of my nickname (Tony) in front of my badge number. After I retired, I think they reissued the number so there is now a new "Biloxi 50" running around, but I am the first.
