Default Early Inland I-Cut, High Wood Stock

Up for sale is a beautiful piece of furniture for your early Inland! I bought this stock as a placeholder stock for a very early Inland carbine that I was restoring. I've since acquired the correct stock for my rifle and I've decided to sell this one since I do not have the correct rifle to fit the stock.

This stock is a Type 1, I-Cut, high wood, with very crisp slingwell markings of the letters IO (OI) and a flaming ordnance bomb. It's nicely colored and shows off the slingwell markings beautifully.

There is an extremely faint circle P marking that is barely visible at the base of the pistol grip.

For the purpose of full disclosure: There is no crossed cannons cartouche visible on the right side of the stock. I consulted with another collector about the absence of the cartouche and it is his opinion that the cartouche was likely sanded off of the stock.

According to Carbine Club Newsletters 346, this stock would be correct for an Inland rifle in the serial number range of roughly 39,848 to about 294,488.

The usual Forum rules apply. The first "I'll take it" followed by a PM to my forum mailbox gets it. Buyer pays $14 for shipping. The stock will be sent USPS priority mail.

Selling price: $400. I'll accept US Postal M.O. or PayPal discreet friends and family.

Thanks for looking.

I have a Type 2 handguard that I could include, but itís not the correct hand guard for the stock.
