It should have a hand guard band without holes and bullet guide without WRA on it. It looks like a real piece but not sure why no serial number. Rick B

Just curious, is that rear sight cover correct for an early M1? I take that back, I guess "single-rib" dust covers were on early Springfield and Winchesters.

What about the butt plate? Is it also SA? My WRA plate has a much more irregular pattern toward the bottom hole.

Lots of early nice parts, also lots of issues. A big issue is the follower rod. I can find no less than 6 glaring issues and that is with limited photos. SA also produced some very early unserialized receivers.

Its a Winchester. SA had flat edges on the left and right top with large gaps of the diamonds on the edges. Rick B
