I agree with the oprod but those sights look legit. Looks like lots of possible correct parts to me....

It doesn't look like a lend lease to me. I'd like the cheek pad if you buy it. Stock looks sanded, gas cylinder lock and op rod look wrong, it may have passed thru England but it doesn't look lend lease.

Stock was sanded by the owner. He said something about changing out the gas system on the front. I noticed the lock was wrong.

The stamp on the barrel doesn't mean it was part of the LL program?

May not have been a Lend Lease. That stamping on the extreme right is the "Private View Mark". The letter in the left angle of the crossed swords is the year code. The code on this rifle appears to be the letter L which would indicate the rifle was proofed in Birmingham in 1960. Keep in mind that all rifles going through Great Britain were proofed prior to export. I would think the value will be in the parts.

I am not a LL expert so will not comment on that but......from what I understand rifles tamped/proofed near the chamber are LL, rifles likes that one on the barrel by gas cylinders are later and may or may not be LL .
For a early rifle the rear sight is right as rain,op rod is wrong, possibly gas cylinder. Should have front sight seal, cant tell if its wide or narrow base, should be single slot gas screw.I believe the op rod catch should also be in the white, not parkerized, Rifle has been monkeyed with.

Front sight screw seal is missing. I believe the gas cylinder was a wide.
The gas screw was single slot.
