CMP Cup Matches
P100
NTI
Hearst
NTT (if you have a team)
NTIT (if you have a team)
JCG match as Unlimited Garand

If you are going to shoot anything but the JCG match as unlimited the. I suggest giving it the entire NM treatment so you can shoot it at 600 and actually hit something

Not really sure what you mean by that?

Iíve taken both my Springfield and Winchester run of the mill service grades to Talladega and kept them (mostly) in the black at the 600 all day when I found my dope.

These rifles in their as issued form are more than capable of getting out to that distance with consistency...and then some!

Because board matches are fairly serious matches to many of the competitors and if you are going to shoot them then bring a rifle that is capable of keeping them on target or better yet deep into the black. Being in the pits and being subjected to berm shots or impacts into the 4x4s above the rail isnít very fun or safe. No one wants to chase your impacts all over 36 square feet of cardboard and hear you call for a mark every 3rd shot either.

That may come across as cold but it really is the truth.

Truth if you don’t know how to shoot I guess? If you’re ‘serious’ or ‘competitive’ and you’re hitting the berm or missing the target, you should probably find a new sport.

AS STATED, in my experience, i’ve had zero issues keeping shots on the paper...or whatever the heck electronic targets are made of

As with anything on the Internet, YMMV.
