Danish Blank Firing Adaptors (BFA), Installed.

Received some Danish BFAs yesterday. Wanted to practice the installation.

Grabbed a Winchester Garand.

Here is the steps I took.

1. Removed Gas Plug.
2. Removed Lock Screw.
3. Inserted Lock Screw in BFA, screw part in line with the long point.
4. Screwed BFA and lock screw on barrel.
5. Replaced Gas Plug, with my ¼ inch socket.

Things I noticed on my install:

Some Lock Screws don’t fit in the BFAs without help from an extra hit/push with something.
Gas Plug needed to be lined up with the BFA and be able to go through, or it would not line up with screw hole. A small screw driver moved the tight Lock Screw to allow the plug to drop in.

Only had the above problem on one out of four BFAs.

Lock Screw lost about one or two and a quarter turn with the thickness of the BFA.

Works on both high hump and no hump Lock Screws.

Range report.

Went out to the dove field this afternoon, and no doves. Too hot and the wrong time of the day.

Tried out the Winchester with this BFA. It was flawless. Super loud, no hearing protection, and the brass all went to 1:00 O'clock. Brass in the grass, and I did not see any to pick up. SL 54 blanks, 1909 style.

Got the enbloc, it was a JMO, which I was happy that it worked fine.

Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang-ping. Was a great feeling for the first time with this BFA.

Took my 410 double with me to test for the first time with the CMP 410 stuff, WCC 52. Also loud.

Got out of the area before the game warden wanted to know why I shot 10 rounds in five minutes.

Be sure to wear hearing protection, which I did not. Already lost most of my hearing from my Army days.
