Price check SAI M1a

Rifle appears to be a recent all commercial M1a with a gray? fiberglass stock. The rifle was offered to me for 1050.00 plus sales tax. It has some extras like a carry case etc. Again looks like a recent all commercial rifle with virtually no GI parts. Is it worth the 1125.00 or so? As always TIA.

I think the price new is around $1400

If you can get the serial number for the rifle a quick call to SAI will let you know the date of manufacture and what model it is. If you go to their web site, you will see the MSRP for each grade of rifle.

If it is a Standard or Loaded model in good shape, some came with fiberglass stocks, then the price looks pretty good. SAI has a lifetime warranty that they honor on all rifles that have not been altered, so that is a plus as well.

Newer stocks are plastic vs GI fiberglas. I have an older one with black "crinkle" fiberglas stock from SAI.
I did buy a used M1A last week for $1100 (Standard all commercial)

I have seen the synthetic stocked M1a standards for under 1200$ here and there recently wood stocked 1250$ish

I bought a brand new in box 2015/2016 production standard with walnut stock for $1499 last April. About going rate for them here, maybe a tad high, but the shop I buy them from pins and welds a faux flash hider on them to be NY compliant for a more "authentic" look rather than sell the plain muzzled version with the front sight on the gas cyl. lock.

Interested too. I have a 75K preban with a HRA barrel and TRW bolt. All the rest is SAI.

I think he means buy a rifle with USGI M14 parts. Some time around 90K+ SAI ran out of GI parts and started using various investment and MIM parts. Many people, including myself, would rather have a rifle with USGI parts.
