I am selling my 1928A1 Thompson parts kit. Includes everything pictured below. Kit is in great condition, but the buttstock metal does show some finish wear. I am asking $1500 shipped, and I accept PayPal + 3%, PayPal Gift, or USPS MO. SPF

I don't know a thing about these. Is the kit made up of USGI parts? Basically drop in a semi-auto upper receiver? Need a tax stamp for the short barrel?

From my understanding these parts kits were complete rifles sent to Russian as part of the Lend Lease program during WWII. Years later they were reimported and receivers demilled.
The quickest way to make a semi auto Thompson from a parts kit such as this one is to purchase one of the new production Kahr thompsons, you need to use the semi auto receiver and semi auto internal parts. I believe that some machining of the lower receiver is required. Last edited by Bolthiel; 07-12-2016 at 07:32 AM. |

Is there any legal way to bring this gun back to life in its orignal condition? Short of finding an original reciever that was tax stamp to build on?

There may be a way with extensive milling work, but I am not sure all that would be required. The route I was planning on going was to buy a semi auto kahr and use what parts I could from the full auto parts kit (lower (with modifications), stock, forearm, pistol grip, barrel, compensator, etc.) to build a semi auto gun.
