Default Looking forward to regular trips again

Really looking forward to my 9:30 am appointment tomorrow. It has been too long.
I normally spend at least a couple hours in the store looking at lots of rifles so not sure how I will do with only 30 minutes. Guess I will find out and adjust my search methods.
Since I am traveling alone this trip I might make the drive over to the range to check that out as well.

sounds like a great day to me

Rob

It was a pleasure talking to you yesterday Doug, you guys snagged some nice bolt actions.

Very pleased with the day, it was nice to get back into the store and talk with everyone again.

Tom,

Are any of the IHC Gap Letters showing up in the 5.2 million range or are they all in the 4.6 million serial number range?

Default UPDATED: Saturday Opening Report

The racks were full at opening. Additional details to be added after my 9:00 appointment. Several cartouches this morning, all SA.

Armors today are Bobby, Colby and Britt.

SA SG 6/ FG 10. One #874661/ 9/42 1/1 barrel.

HRA SG 2/ FG 2, one with HRA barrel.

WRA SG 12, there were several WIN13, mix match no WRA barrels/ several WRAs with WRA barrels. I picked up a beautiful 111xxxx WRA, lock bar sight, WRA barrel 1/1, with a beautiful EMcF stock....

My find of the morning was a beautiful WRA which has all the markings of a fresh USMC rebuild, grease penciled last three digits of serial number on floor plate, op rod, A marked stock and SA 53 barrel which were common for rebuilds, BUT, no 0-66 type marking on flat of the receiver.... Never seen that before but clearly a USMC rebuild

IHC SG 10. Gap letter 9, all 4 millions...

CMP Specials SA/HRA 4/ WRA FG 5

SA 6 million, 3.

1903 SG 11/ FG 9, 50/50 Remington/SA no RI.

1903a3, 8, 5 SC/3 SA

M1917, 12.

Good luck on your searches.

Default Saturday Update Report

Those that have shown up without appointments, most have had a pretty short wait before being allow in. Appointments take priority.... None have been turned away..

They put out some NOS Carbine C tipped slings, 30.00 each. Unknown how many they have. Also NOS unissued 1918 .45 magazine pouch, 20.00 each.

The WRAs were hit hard today. There was a restock of 6 for total of 18, currently 4 remain. Also restockEd IHC SG 4 and Special WRA FG 4.

There are some very nice M1 bayonets available with no scabbards.

Good luck on your searches.

Default Got these before Toms report

To add to Tom’s report this is what I picked up before he got there. These were already behind the counter:

WRA SG with Winchester barrel SN 138xxx, Dec/Jan 1941, bore muzzle 1 throat 1. Stock has a stamp on the right side looks like D-SSA in a box. Will look closer when I get back home

Smith Corona, SN 3664xxx 1903a3, S stock, SG, RA 8/44 barrel shinny bore, muzzle 0 throat 1

Remington 1917, original barrel SN 30xxx, SG, shinny bore, muzzle 1 throat 3

Went to Talladega and my wife picked up that lonely Chromed 1917 in the cracked white stock. Couldn’t pass it up. It ought to be a fun project for us to clean up and repair.

Is their still a rule of one 1903 and one 1903a3 in place or is it all just a one 1903 right now? I got my 1917 and 1903 in January and would hate to take up an apointment slot to find out I was ineligible.
